What is a lodge tent?
A lodge tent is a luxury-style tent commonly used in glamping (glamorous camping). Think of it like a canvas cabin – typically built on a wooden platform, with solid frames and canvas walls, often featuring:
- real beds with linens (no sleeping bags here)
- private bathrooms with hot showers
- Chic furnishing like rugs and a cozy seating
- Sometimes even kitchenettes or wood stoves
Lodge tents are popular at high-end glamping resorts or eco-retreats where guests want an immersive nature experience without sacrificing comfort or style.
Yes! Our eco dome are the first TÜV certified lodging structures and are weather and storm proof. Crossover Lodge’s eco dome is built with sustainability in mind. The structures require no foundation, leaving the landscape intact. The frame lasts for decades, while the high-quality tent fabrics have a lifespan of approximately 10 years. Additionally, surplus materials from production are repurposed into new products, further reducing environmental impact.
You can rent out our glamping tent all year round. Keep your guests warm during the colder months by insulating the lodge with extra sidewalls. Other climate control options are a wood stove, infrared panels or air conditioning H/C.
You can book our building team, or you can install the Lodge yourself using the construction book. If you choose to build the eco dome yourself, you will receive a construction book with all the necessary information. The construction book includes photos and will refer you to our construction videos. Did you know that the frame of the structure and the outer tent of the Crossover Lodge Large can be installed by 2 people within 1 hour and 15 minutes?
The bathroom unit itself contains a plug and play connection. All connections regarding electricity, water supply, and drainage must be carried out locally by a certified plumber.
During installation, a Manitou must be arranged locally at the relevant location.
Crossover Lodge Large:
Building the wooden decking 40/90 (850×1000 cm) takes +/- 1 day. The installation of the Basic Unit will take +/- 3-4 hours. When you completely furnish the Crossover Lodge Large with all interior options (wall system, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, and living room), it will take +/- 6-8 hours. This is based on a building team of 4 people.
Crossover Lodge Medium:
The Crossover Lodge Medium can be built up more quickly because the overall surface and the Wall System are smaller than in the Crossover Lodge Large.
There are various options for regulating the temperature in the Lodge. For example, air conditioning H/C, an infrared panel in the middle of the tent, or a wood stove. We recommend insulating the Lodge with extra side walls in the outer tent.
You can choose the packages you want to buy and put together your entire order yourself. The basic package consists of the frame, inner and outer fabric and is the minimum purchase for a Crossover Lodge.
Yes, the bathroom is a separate enclosed space inside the glamping tent.
